And to Yourself Always Be True

Profile Information

Explain your path.
My path is ecclectic, leaning towards Earth/Elemental/Shamanism with a mixture of NA spirituality (Medicine Wheel), Celtic and Ancient Egyptian Magick . I am principally a Kitchen Witch, attuned to Mother Earth.
Do you have family or familiars?
In my family I am the only "offical" pagan, but the rest of the family is tolerant and openminded, and consider religious beliefs, choices and lifestyles personal and private. This attitude is typical among the French in general. My husband and soul mate Paul is French (we were pen pals when I was in high school); we have four children, now 30, 25 and twins 20). Our dog crossed over the Rainbow Bridge in February 2006.
What is your favorite saying?
"Let your love be like the misty rain, coming softly but flooding the river."

Carpe Diem Is it really possible for us to seize the day And make it happen in our own special way?…

Carpe Diem

Is it really possible for us to seize the day
And make it happen in our own special way?
There are so many things I would just love to do
There are so many songs to be sung by me to you.

Today’s true challenges that present in my life
Teach me the difference between wrong and right
Yet while they’re not enjoyable and not so fun
I still need to go through each of them one by one.

Interesting challenges there is certainly no doubt
Make better lessons learning what life is all about.… Continue

Poem

New Once Again

If the world was new again
There’d be no enemies, only friends.
We’d know no hate, only love
And be as free as the sky above.

But why think such thoughts?
We must remember we were taught
That our innate heritage is free choice
In what we do and what we voice.

Wishful thinking will get us nowhere
For as true as we breathe the current air
We can make the world new once again
And break the barriers of hate and disdain.

It must begin within the depths of our hearts;
We must be wil… Continue

Thoughtful Poem

Chained Melody

Why is there so much tragedy, so much sadness?
We’re surrounded by wars, hatreds and wasted lands;
Cacophonic negativity thrives in a whirlwind of madness.
So many disharmonies getting out of hand!

I’m saddened and touched more than you’ll ever know
By the events and happenings that are going on Mother Earth.
Chained melodies through stormy skies and hot fires blow,
And populations are burdened with uncontrolled births.

Winds of change are in the air, whether good, bad or fair… Continue

Something a little different...

An article about the origins of Valentine greetings...

The Origin of Valentine Greetings

“In the Spring a lovelier iris changes on the burnished dove,
In the Spring a young man’s fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love.”

These lines from a well-known Victorian poet Alfred, Lord Tennyson (1809-1892) is closely related to the seasonal changes that are in the air during the later winter months. Well before the sweet season of spring begins these sensations and feelings are felt and heard in natu… Continue

Time

"Time waits for no man," goes the old saying. Yet when we think of time, we set ourselves in motion, that is to say, we set time into motion; it could be fragmented, nevertheless, it is moving. This is why we often have the impression that time is moving very fast. The more we think about it, the faster it seems to move. This article was begun several minutes ago, which is now the past, you will read it in my future, yet right now, in the present, these words are being written. It is said that t… Continue
