writting your own spells...What process would you go through to correctly make up your own unique spell or chant/prayer: To me, makeing your own, would be more effective, because it has your feeling and your own personal energies to it....am i right??- thanks Blessed BE

You are completely correct in my opinion, I believe when we look in a spell book for a certain thing it is more of an example or a diagram to go by for us to use to create are own spell if we wish but if not we can use the one at hand. The spells we create have more of our feelings and energy and more of us in it, and most importantley the power of our intentions. Especially when you use candles with your spell and your take all that time to inscribe them with Theban script or whatever ancient script you prefer, it puts more of you into it because you worked hard on it so its special. Then you consecrate it with your oil of choice and etc. So i believe very strongly that your right in the fact that spells written on your own will have more of an impact.

Writing your own spell is the best way to go. It definitly has your intensions and energy wrapped up in what you are sending to the universe. There are times when I borrow someone elses, but it usually makes my heart sing and I know it is right. There can be various reasons for not creating your own, mine usually is because I am not feeling very creative and conjuring the correct sentiment for my purpose is just not coming to me. Kinda like writers block...I get spell block. Truly the best way is your own spell and ritual. The process I use is, first be clear with my intention, why am I doing this, what is my purpose. then I write. I record what I am doing in a notebook (BOS), but first I use scratch paper to get my thoughts together. I meditate and then gather my tools and matierials. For me the best process to writing my own spell is meditation and scratch paper. To me, there is not a correct way to do it, but what makes you feel comfortable and allows your energy to be directed the way you need it.
